Dubai : The W Icon award 2025 has been announced in connection with Emirati women’s day celebrations. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 30 ,2025 at the Falak Tayyeb Plantinum Hall, Al Wasl, Sheikh Zayed  Road,Dubai. Organizers stated that the awards will honor the contributions and leadership of women across various sectors.

Emirati Women’s Day was officially launched in 2015,in line with the vision of the UAE’s founding father,the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,who emphasized the indispensable role of women in the nation’s progress.  Each year,the occasion is celebrated under a special theme, recognizing and supporting women’s achievements in education,entrepreneurship,leadership,and nation building. Various cultural programmes,seminars and conferences organized across the emirates including Dubai,Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Women’s empowerment remains a core vision of the UAE leadership, with remarkable milestones achieved in recent years. Notable examples include Captain Aisha Al Mansoori ,The first female film director Dr.Hooria kazim ,the country’s first female surgeon; and Nora Al Matrooshi,the UAE’s first femle astronaut,who has joined NASA ‘s space programme. Other prominent figures include Dr.Raja Easa Al Gurg Group:Shamma Al Mazrui,Minister of Community Development and Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of international cooperation,Director –General of Expo 2020and UAE ‘s international representative. The growing presence of Emirati women in diverse fields continues to reflects the nations long –term vision for gender equality and empowerment.
